A lot can change in a year. Between 2018 and 2019, we’ve seen major shifts in how people are spending their time online. Instagram, for instance, has doubled its users scrolling the app at any given minute, whereas Twitter has decreased five times over.
Other notable changes? Time spent watching Netflix doubled over the last year and we’ve see a 150% increase in smart speaker sales.
So what does all this mean? Voice search is on the rise and people are feeling more comfortable with the technology. Also, image and video is quickly replacing text-based platforms, as users are spending more time on visual applications.
